Job Description

Role Purpose

The Tempo parziale Facilities and Health & Safety Assistant supports the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of all HFIS campuses. Working under the direction of the Facilities and H&S; Manager, this role ensures that the buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with local health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Facilities and Maintenance Support

• Support the Facilities and H&S; Manager with the coordination of daily maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks.
• Conduct regular site checks to identify maintenance issues and report them promptly.
• Liaise with contractors and service providers on-site, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard.
• Assist with setting up, dismantling, and moving equipment and furniture for school activities, meetings, and events.
• Support the coordination of maintenance requests, ensuring prioritisation and timely resolution.
• Maintain records and assist with the filing of invoices, quotes, and service reports.

Health & Safety





• Support the implementation of the school’s Health & Safety (H&S;) policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections of fire safety, first aid, and emergency equipment (e.g., extinguishers, AEDs, first aid kits).
• Assist in maintaining H&S; documentation, such as risk assessments, inspection logs, and incident reports.
• Help coordinate H&S; training and drills (e.g., fire and lockdown drills).
• Support the management of hazardous materials and ensure compliance with local safety standards.
• Report and record any H&S; incidents, near misses, or hazards to the Facilities and H&S; Manager.

Events & Operations

• Provide on-site support for events, ensuring proper set-up, safety, and venue readiness.
• Assist with event logistics such as unlocking/locking facilities and ensuring security procedures are followed.
