The internship lasts 6 months and is aimed at recruitment.You will be involved in R&D; projects within the WAVENURE team as a Junior Data Scientist, with the aim of conceiving, developing, managing and maintaining Artificial Intelligence forecasting models in the context of investment decisions on financial markets.
Responsibility
- Participate in the software development lifecycle (design, implementation, integration and interaction with QA).
- Maintain existing code base (refactoring, bug fixing, analysis and performance optimization).
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Functional Analysts for receipt of requirements.

Training and Technical Skills required
- Master's degree in STEM subjects, current or obtained less than 12 months ago.
- Academic knowledge of statistical models for modeling and data analysis.
- Strong propensity/interest in new technologies.

- Knowledge of one or more programming languages (Python, Matlab, R), including packages used in Machine Learning.
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with mathematical modeling.
- A solid knowledge of the financial markets compensates for any other missing or partial skills.

Personal characteristics
The ideal candidate has communication skills, can work autonomously and proactively and has an aptitude for teamwork and problem solving.Attitude and motivation are key factors.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in object oriented programming.
- Familiarity with using database query language and APIs.
- Knowledge of financial markets.
- Experience, even brief, in data modeling.
