Operations Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will seek to improve overall manufacturing processes as measured by improved operating efficiency, increased throughput and or reduced operating costs, develop and monitor maintenance KPI’s. Solutions will be developed through detailed analysis of the manufacturing operations and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be expected to analyze plant manufacturing operating data with a focus on maintenance, recommend, and facilitate improvements to work practices, equipment, processes, methods, and controls by striving to resolve inefficiencies and eliminate waste.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Optimize production processes to deliver cost savings, improve quality, and support new product capabilities
- Improve process efficiency and utilization of resources including labor, energy, and raw materials
- Analyze both employee and machinery workflows to streamline processes and maximize productivity while promoting personnel safety and a healthy work environment
- Identify process bottlenecks and devise solutions to resolve them
- Research new manufacturing technology and equipment and prepare proposals to justify the management expenditure
- Monitor and track manufacturing systems’ functionality and production records, maintain production documentation
- Ensure all processes and equipment comply with all state and federal regulations/guidelines through proactive solutions and technologies
- Implement and advance LEAN manufacturing principles, equipment reliability, and automation into plant operations
- Perform Value Stream Mapping to identify bottlenecks, Root Cause Analysis to improve quality and process
