We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Horticulturist to join our team at Constance Ephelia, a prestigious luxury resort in Seychelles.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing our extensive gardens and landscaped grounds, ensuring they remain a stunning showcase of tropical beauty.
You will oversee all horticultural operations, manage plant health and wellbeing, and contribute to the resort's commitment to environmental sustainability and aesthetic excellence.
Cultivate, propagate, and maintain a diverse range of tropical and subtropical plants, flowers, and trees
Design, plan, and implement landscape projects that enhance the resort's natural environment and guest experience
Monitor plant health, diagnose and treat diseases, pests,
and nutritional deficiencies using both conventional and organic methods
Manage irrigation systems and water conservation practices to ensure optimal plant growth whilst maintaining environmental responsibility
Conduct soil analysis and implement appropriate soil amendments and fertilisation programmes
Oversee the maintenance of garden beds, pathways, water features, and landscaped areas to the highest standards
Supervise and train horticultural staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and health and safety protocols
Maintain detailed records of plant inventory, maintenance schedules, and horticultural activities
Collaborate with resort management and other departments to align horticultural projects with organisational objectives
Implement sustainable and organic gardening practices to minimise environmental impact
Manage horticultural budgets and procurement of plants, materials, and equipment
