Junior System Administrator

WAVENURE is looking for a passionate Junior System Administrator to participate in planning and implementing infrastructure policies and procedures within the company, capable of delivering results and eager to learn.The ideal candidate also has strong communication skills, is accustomed to working under pressure and has predisposition to teamwork and problem solving.

Responsibility

- Support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting, backup, recovery, modifications, security, and upgrading of Operational support systems
- Monitor IT systems and escalates problems
- Support installation of new IT systems: Servers, networks and software roll-outs
- Collaborate in hardware and software projects
- Work on a ticketing system way

Training and Technical Skills required

- Excellent problem solving skills
- Knowledge of IT systems: Servers (Windows and/or Linux), networks, virtualization etc.




- Experience with database admin and troubleshooting (MySQL)
- Knowledge of Apache and Tomcat
- Good communication skills (English) are required (both verbal and written)

Personal characteristics

The ideal candidate has communication skills, can work autonomously and proactively and has an aptitude for teamwork and problem solving.Attitude and motivation are key factors.

Nice to have

- Experience with enterprise IT systems appreciated
- Knowledge of Monitoring tool
- Problem-solving competence: methodical and structured approach in solving problems
- Deep interest in networking, server administration, IT security and enterprise-grade IT systems
- Quality consciousness
- Keen to learn and ambitious
- Knowledge of databases Postgres, MariaDB, MongoDB
