Leica Microsystems seeks a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide technical support and resolve customer issues for microscopy and imaging systems across the Triveneto region in Italy. The role combines field service delivery, customer collaboration, and process improvement activities within a remote-based position.
Responsibilities
Diagnose system failures and implement cost-effective solutions for assigned customer territory
Conduct service, repair, and installation of microscopy products at customer sites with electrical and mechanical testing
Respond to customer support calls and communicate technical findings clearly and timely
Collaborate with regional service team to ensure professional after-sales support delivery
Support sales activities including product installations, demonstrations,



and identify new customer opportunities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent qualification
Fluent in English and Italian languages
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and willingness to travel up to 70% within Italy
Experience with confocal systems maintenance and repairs (preferred)
Training or coaching experience (preferred)
Compensation:
€43,000–€57,000 base annual salary, plus target premio of 10% of base subject to performance conditions
