Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Technical Support Specialist to provide advanced support for molecular diagnostics instruments across Italy. The role involves troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring timely resolution to maintain patient testing continuity.
Responsibilities
Provide expert technical support via phone, email, and web for instrumentation systems and software troubleshooting
Collect detailed information about instrument-related issues and perform root cause analysis to identify solutions
Conduct advanced data analysis and systematic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network connectivity problems
Resolve customer technical issues through remote support and on-site visits when needed to restore system uptime
Contribute to team learning by sharing expertise, updating knowledge bases,



and mentoring junior colleagues
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
2–3 years experience in healthcare/biomedical technical support or medical device handling in the region
Expertise troubleshooting hardware and software issues in regulated medical device or diagnostics environments
Proficiency with Windows OS, LIS integration, and basic networking protocols in laboratory settings
Familiarity with molecular diagnostics and clinical laboratory workflows
Knowledge of diagnostic market and CRM/complaint handling systems (preferred)
Compensation:
€40,900–€55,500 base annually, plus 10% premio/incentive of base salary
