ul liServes as a lifeguard for indoor and outdoor pools and works under the direction of the Installation Aquatics Program Manager. Provides information to swimmers regarding safety/health/admission rules and procedures. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 h3Conditions of employment /h3 ul liDirect Deposit and Social Security Card is required. /li liMeet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. /li liA one-year probationary period may be required. /li liMust be able to work evenings, weekends, and MWR Special Events. /li liMust have current health assessment that documents good physical health, and free from communicable disease IAW current Army Policy. /li liMust be able to obtain within 30 days and maintain the following certifications: Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED from a nationally recognized agency. /li liContinuous exposure to sun and prolonged periods of high temperature and humidity. In case of exposure to infectious disease, incumbent is required to obtain the Hepatitis B vaccination series within a 24-hour period. /li liLifeguards must have good vision (based upon an acceptable standard of 20/40 vision or better, either (with glasses or contacts) or uncorrected)



while on duty to effectively recognize all emergencies, incidents and rule breaking. /li liIncumbent is required to follow environmental safeguards and wear personal protective equipment. May be assigned to irregular duties or when needed for special recreational events and related requirements. /li liFifteen(15) year old lifeguards must comply with the restriction of the DOL Child Labors Law (Jan 17, 2006). /li liSubject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a T-CNACI Childcare National Agency Check background investigation. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pbResumes must be two pages (or less). /b /p pResumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. /p h3A Qualified Candidate Must Possess The Following /h3 ul liPossesses and maintains the following certifications: Lifeguarding and First Aid (American Red Cross or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Star Guard, YMCA, or ELLIS). /li liAmerican Red Cross "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional. /li liCPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED or equivalent (American Heart Association CPR/AED); First Aid. /li liFor Water Parks upgrade the certification to: 'Waterpark Lifeguarding and First Aid; CPR/PR/AED' (American Red Cross). /li liIn addition, for facilities that use Oxygen Administration "O2 bottles" the O2 Administration certification (American Red Cross "Oxygen Administration or installation offered training (i.e. Fire Dept.) must be obtained within two weeks of reporting for duty. /li /ul pbClaimed experience must be verifiable through your resume.
