Our partner is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Golang/TypeScript/React) - Independent Contractor based in Italy. /b /p pThis is a senior engineering opportunity focused on building and evolving a data-intensive platform used by major global organizations and financial institutions.br/You will work across backend microservices and modern frontend applications, combining Golang, TypeScript, and React to deliver reliable and performant products.br/The role offers meaningful ownership, with engineers expected to take features from initial ideas through production and ongoing improvement.br/You will contribute to technical strategy, architectural decisions, engineering standards, and the modernization of existing systems.br/The engineering environment emphasizes observability, automation, performance, clean code, and continuous improvement.br/You will collaborate within a distributed technical organization while engaging with Product and stakeholders across the wider business.br/The position is fully remote and requires working US Eastern Time hours to maintain strong collaboration with the broader team. /p pbAccountabilities: /b /p ul liDesign, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications, ensuring they remain reliable, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product needs. /li liBuild polished, performant, component-based user interfaces in React and TypeScript, following established design system principles and delivering a strong customer experience. /li liTake end-to-end ownership of features, from ideation and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement in production. /li liContribute to technical strategy by evaluating architectural options, balancing existing systems with new technologies, and clearly communicating technical decisions and trade-offs. /li liImprove the performance, reliability,
and observability of services and applications through effective engineering practices and appropriate monitoring solutions. /li liRaise engineering quality standards through clean-code practices, thoughtful code reviews, automation, process improvements, and the adoption of technologies that improve team productivity. /li liCollaborate closely with engineers, Product Managers, and stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, communicate complex technical topics, and deliver solutions that create meaningful business impact. /li /ul h3Requirements: /h3 ul liStrong professional experience developing backend services and web applications with Golang, including deploying services in Docker containers. /li liStrong experience building modern, componentized frontend applications using React and TypeScript, with a focus on performance, usability, and maintainability. /li liAbility to write performant SQL and work effectively with data-intensive applications and relational databases. /li liStrong understanding of clean-code principles and idiomatic TypeScript and Go, with the ability to apply these principles during development, code reviews, and engineering standards. /li liAbility to quickly understand a new business domain and product, learn independently, and apply that knowledge to technical and product decisions. /li liStrong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. /li liDemonstrated commitment to continuous learning and improving technical skills, engineering practices, and ways of working. /li liExperience with concurrent application logic, such as Go goroutines, is beneficial but not essential.
