h3Requisition ID: /h3 h3Position Summary /h3 pResponsible for the work associated with the operation of the dredge, support vessels and project site equipment. This position will report to the Captain. /p h3Experience Level /h3 pIntermediate /p h3Primary Responsibilities And Duties /h3 ul liSecure mooring lines to the dredge, scows, dredge Tender or attending plant. /li liSplice and repair cables and towing ropes. /li liAssist with the lubrication of deck machinery. /li liLoad and unload materials from the dredge, deck barges, scows and miscellaneous dredging equipment. /li liSweep and wash down all decks on the dredge and attending plant. /li liChip and paint decks and superstructure of the dredge and attending plant. /li liAssist with work on the pontoon line, submerge line, scow or attending plant. /li liAssist with work on the anchors and spud systems. /li liAssist with cleaning of the pump and work on the cutter head. /li liResponsible for the safe and timely deployment of survival craft and evacuation of site personnel (If has MMC with AB endorsement). /li liFollows company and work site safety policies/procedures and commits to an “Incident and Injury Free” work environment.



/li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liAbility to work 84 hour work week /li liAbility to live aboard vessel for full rotation. /li liAbility to understand hand signals. /li liAbility to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with craft workers under his/her supervision and management/supervision. /li liAbility to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safely and efficiently. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMerchant Mariner Credential (preferred) /li liTransportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred, or willing to obtain upon hire. /li liMust be able to tolerate rough seas, vibrations, heat, harsh weather conditions, confined spaces, and high noise levels. /li liWork will frequently require individuals to push, pull, bend or stand for long periods of time, and climb ladders. /li liMust be able to lift or carry miscellaneous equipment, supplies and parts up to 50 lbs. unassisted. /li liPerforms other duties as required. /li /ul pEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status. /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
