OPES Impact SGR Società Agevolazioni is looking for a Junior Partner to co-lead OPES Italia II, an Italian impact investing fund, with the aim of contributing to the development of a new standard for impact venture capital in Italy and Europe.

THE ROLE

The Junior Partner will have direct responsibility across the entire fund lifecycle: fundraising, defining and overseeing the investment strategy, sourcing and evaluating opportunities, structuring and managing investments, supporting due diligence and negotiation processes, actively supporting portfolio companies, and building and nurturing a founder community focused on systemic impact.

The role will also involve direct engagement with investors, representing the fund within the impact and venture capital ecosystem, and developing partnerships with co-investors, accelerators and other ecosystem players.

The role requires a balance between strategic vision and strong execution capabilities, with direct and hands‑on involvement in the fund’s activities. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute not only to investment management, but also to the continuous evolution of OPES’ strategy, operating model, and impact and gender‑lens approach.

- Co‑ownership in defining the budget and your own compensation package. Compensation will be jointly defined with the selected candidate based on objective, transparent and gender‑neutral criteria, taking into account experience, skills and the level of responsibility associated with the position. As an indication, the overall package (fixed and variable) is aligned with senior market levels in the venture capital and asset management sectors. The contractual arrangement (employment, coordinated and continuous collaboration, or self‑employment) will be agreed with the candidate during the selection process, in compliance with applicable legislation and consistently with the profile and expectations of the selected candidate.

Qualifications

We are looking for a professional with 7+ years of solid experience in venture capital, impact investing or related fields, with a proven track record of independently managing investment transactions, strong analytical and financial skills, and an entrepreneurial approach to their work.

A genuine belief in the fund’s investment thesis and in the potential of venture capital to generate systemic impact is essential. Familiarity with impact investing strategies and a gender‑lens approach is considered a strong plus.

Full professional proficiency in both Italian and English, written and spoken, is required.
