Offer Description
Within the SPQR - Smart Precision for Quantum Resilience project, the selected candidate will contribute to the design of exact and approximate quantum circuits and to the development of methodologies for automating their synthesis, compilation, and optimisation. The activities will address trade-offs among precision, reliability, success probability, and computational resources, with applications to quantum machine learning, combinatorial optimisation, quantum cryptanalysis, and quantum search algorithms.
They will also cover resource estimation and selective quantum error correction strategies.
Quality, originality, and innovation of the research proposal, with reference to the research program covered by this selection (up to 20 points)
Relevance and significance of previous research activities and professional experience in relation to the research program (up to 25 points)
Relevance and significance of submitted publications with respect to the research program (up to 15 points)
Interview, aimed at assessing the candidate's research aptitude, their ability to implement the proposed project, and their knowledge of English and/or other relevant languages for the research (up to 40 points)
