The role
International School of Milan is seeking a Cover Teacher for Primary to cover a two-month period starting late August 2026. The position also requires recurring availability to provide short, occasional cover when needed. Immediate availability is an advantage. Cover requests may be for a single day or brief periods across the academic year. Key responsibilities




- Support class teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive and child-centred learning experiences.
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress.
- Help create and maintain a stimulating, well-organised and inclusive classroom environment.
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and social development using supportive approaches.
- Assist in observing, recording and sharing student progress with teaching staff.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs where required.
- Supervise pupils during break times, lunch, school trips and events.
- Assist with preparation of learning materials, classroom displays and resources.
- Contribute to classroom routines, transitions and day-to-day organisation.
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour and child protection policies at all times.

Requirements
- Relevant experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
