Università di Parma is seeking researchers to develop subgrid closure models for parallel two-dimensional hydrodynamic codes, enabling more accurate flood simulations over large and geometrically complex domains.
The project focuses on hydraulic representation improvements arising from topography, bathymetry, and built infrastructure while controlling numerical costs. Validation will use synthetic tests and real-world urban-scale applications for flood forecasting and risk management.
