Technical Sales Specialist – Image and Video Forensics Solutions

We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Technical Sales Specialist to join our team in Trieste. You will serve as a crucial link between the company and our customers (including end-users and distributors), responsible for the technical demonstration and promotion of our software solutions for multimedia forensics in the international market.
This role requires excellent communication skills and a solid understanding of software fundamentals to drive the entire technical sales cycle. You will collaborate closely with our Marketing and Product teams to ensure market success.
This role begins as a fixed-term contract (6 months) with strong prospects for permanent hire. A valid Italian work permit is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Explain, present, and demonstrate product features to potential customers and distributors via conference calls, webinars, and in-person meetings.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring consistent follow-up with end-users and international partners.
- Handle back-office commercial duties, including preparing quotes and managing client correspondence.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with local distributors, monitoring their performance and supporting their local market activities.
- Collaborate on creating technical marketing content, such as sample materials, blog posts, case studies, and webinars.
Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 3+ years of experience in technical sales, international business development, or a high-level technical support role.
- Full professional proficiency in English and Italian.
- Availability to travel frequently worldwide to attend events and meet clients.
- Good knowledge of computer software fundamentals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a proactive,
ambitious, detail-oriented, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating excellent organizational skills, punctuality, and reliability.
- Must be authorized to work in Italy.
Preferred
- Knowledge of additional languages is a plus (German, Spanish, or French).
- Previous experience in a Technical Sales, Sales, or Technical Support role.
- Familiarity with CRM or Sales/Marketing software tools.
- Experience with image and video processing tools.
- Background in the multimedia forensics field (e.g., as a forensic image/video analyst, law enforcement, military, or forensic expert).

Contractual Details
- Location: Trieste (Area Science Park Padriciano).
- Contract type: Fixed-Term (6 months) with strong prospects for permanent hire, Full-Time.
- Collective Agreement: CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria.
- Salary Range (RAL): € 30,000 - € 40,000 GROSS/year (commensurate with skills and experience).
