Description
As a Solutions Architect at AWS, you'll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey. You'll manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate their challenging projects.
Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features. In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define or invent cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. whitepapers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences). If you can educate AWS customers about the art of the possible, while challenging the impossible, come build the future with us.
This role is within the EMEA SMB organization and you would be working with Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) customers in Italy.
Key job responsibilities
As a key member of the sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform in partnership with the sales team
Formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue goals through the adoption of AWS
Solutions Architects own the overall technical relationship between customers and AWS and make recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
You will capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.

Basic Qualifications
Solid experience in design/implementation/management of complex distributed IT applications and infrastructure or database architectures
Awareness of cloud computing benefits, concepts and principles; software development tools and methodologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across internal and external organizations
Demonstrated ability to continuously adapt to new technologies and trends and learn new skills quickly
3+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience
5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience
Speak, write, and read fluently in Italian
Preferred Qualifications
History of successful technical sales consulting and architecture engagements with large-scale customers or enterprises
Experience architecting,



migrating or transforming customer solutions to the cloud
Professional experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS or another cloud platform
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
Bachelor's degree, or MBA in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

The minimum gross base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full-time basis. For tempo parziale hours, the salary will be pro-rated.
Amazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate's skills, competencies, and experience. Amazon's package may include a sign on payment. In addition, the candidate may be eligible to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Your recruiting team will share final salary and any restricted stock unit scheme if applicable, depending on skills and requirements.
In addition to statutory benefits, and those applicable to the relevant CBA, company supplementary benefits may apply subject to further terms.
