This position supports NAVFAC EURAFCENT facilities, construction, and program requirements.
The selected candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting U.S. Navy and Department of Defense projects in Europe and will be employed locally through a third-party employer of record.Position SummaryThe Functional and Administrative Support Specialist provides day-to-day administrative, records, correspondence, data, and customer-service support to NAVFAC EURAFCENT project and office teams.
This is a full-time, primarily on-site position located in Sigonella, Sicily, Italy; Rota, Spain; SoudaBay, Greece; or Naples, Italy.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, route, track, and maintain correspondence and administrative actionsCreate, classify, cross-reference, archive, and retrieve electronic and hard-copy records in accordance with established proceduresPrepare and format letters, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, charts, and other office productsMaintain databases, trackers, distribution lists, calendars, and recurring reportsProvide reception and customer service support and coordinate visitor or installation access requestsTrack suspense items and follow up with staff to support timely completion of required actionsAssist with travel orders, vouchers, requisitions, time and attendance, training records, organizational charts, and personnel paperworkResearch administrative issues, compile information, and brief staff on status or recommended actions.RequirementsKey QualificationsMust already have the legal right to work in the country of the assigned duty station; U.S.



visa or SOFA-status sponsorship is not availableProfessional fluency in English and in the host-nation language of the assigned duty stationDemonstrated administrative support experience, including records management, correspondence, filing, and office proceduresAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tables, charts, and reportsStrong typing, writing, grammar, proofreading, organization, and attention to detailAbility to work professionally with government personnel, contractors, visitors, and customers in a multinational environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities, protect sensitive information, and meet deadlinesExperience supporting an engineering, construction, military, or government office is preferredExperience with electronic document management or workflow systems is preferredMust obtain required installation access and complete applicable background screeningExperience & EducationProfessional fluency in English and in the host-nation language of the assigned duty station.Demonstrated administrative-support experience, including records management, correspondence, filing,
