Short description of the position:
The Eurac Research Library is looking for a Library Intern to support our day-to-day activities. The Library serves both the research-community in Eurac Research (our Main Library) as well as the public (our ECO Library).
Tasks:
Providing services at the circulation desk (e.g. lending and returning library materials, renewing loans);
Maintaining order in the reading room (e.g. re-shelving returned materials and carrying out occasional shelf checks to ensure materials are in the correct location);
Supporting library users (e.g. finding materials, using library services and collections);
Possibility to contribute to the training and outreach activities organized by the Library.
Requirements:
Open and friendly communication skills;
Attention to detail and accuracy;
Reliability and punctuality;
Interest and willingness to learn how to use library systems and databases;
Ability to communicate confidently in both German and Italian, knowledge of English is an asset;
Place of work: Eurac Research, Viale Druso 1, 39100, Bolzano;
The candidates must be current high school or university students,
or recent graduates (not more than 12 months from graduation).
