Leonardo is a technological and industrial partner of Governments, Defense Administrations, Institutions and companies. Within the Finance BU Automation organizational unit, we are looking for a Financial Project Controller at the Genoa office. The figure will operate within the Finance BU Automation unit with the aim of operating in the team dedicated to the economic and financial management of projects and contracts (Project Controlling). In particular, the person will deal with:
Management control inherent to business activities, with particular focus on order/project control and related KPIs;
Monitoring of financial progress vs. contract (revenue recognition, cost to completion) and support to the process of (re)planning projects (program controlling);
Monitoring, verification of capacity and approval of purchase requests on projects/orders;
Tracking and periodic reporting of financial risks, contingency budgeting, stress scenarios (exchange rate, milestone delays, scope variations) and related mitigations;
Coordination with Legal on exposure aspects deriving from disputes, arbitrations, claims and contractual penalties; support for the quantification of reserves to equity;
Monitoring,
reporting and periodic analysis of turnover, Receivables/Payables, Receipts/Payments of programs/orders;
Interface with Treasury on project treasury working capital timing; coordination with the Treasury function on advances and financing, exchange rate coverage, guarantees, bonds, etc.
Support for the Business Unit's periodic Budgeting, Forecast and Reporting processes
Periodic analysis of industrial and operational PKIs, definition of improvement plan and related monitoring
Support for the offer process
SAP 4Hana, BI user and other planning tools. Educational qualification
Degree in economic/management disciplines or Engineering Seniority
At least 5 years of experience in the role of Controller/Project Controller, preferably in companies operating on an order/project basis and in international contexts Technical skills
Knowledge of relevant IRFS/IAS and US GAAP accounting principles and of Production Management Control by Order, international Transfer Pricing issues Behavioral skills
Excellent analytical skills, problem solving and team working complete the profile. Language skills
Proficiency in English (at least B2); Knowledge of an additional language among French, Spanish or German is welcome. IT knowledge
Excellent knowledge of Excel and the main company ERPs, preferably SAP.

How does the selection process work?
Following the collection of applications, the CVs most in line with the required requirements are evaluated and identified. Selected candidates undertake an introductory interview with the Human Resources team, motivational and aptitude-based, followed by an in-depth technical interview with the Business.
