Position Title: Diagnostic Quality Specialist (Up to 50% travel)

Reports To: Senior Director, Clinical & Quality

Summary The Diagnostic Quality Specialist is responsible for assessing quality of all diagnostic imaging and ABUS exams. This role requires completion of standard quality reviews, hands-on training and documentation of quality inquiries.

The Diagnostic Quality

Specialist will work closely with the Operations team, radiologists and field staff to address quality issues and ensure that optimum quality is maintained. This role requires proficiency in completing and training others in sonography, mammography and ABUS.

The ideal candidate would be registered in both Mammography and Breast Sonography. However, we will consider candidates who are registered in Mammography and have some experience or interest in Breast Sonography.

Responsibilities

Training and Development

- Complete quality assessments and training for diagnostic sonography and/or mammography.
- Train technologists on standard diagnostic protocols and facilitate interactions with radiologists as needed.
- Provide diagnostic training materials when needed.
- Maintain documentation of all quality inquiries and trainings.
- Support Operations in ABUS training and re-trainings when needed.
- Support Operations in imaging quality training (Volpara and other) when needed.
- Intervene when diagnostic quality is insufficient by making recommendations for remediation, re-training and/or staffing changes.




- Ensure field staff is utilizing appropriate diagnostic worksheets/history sheets for sonography/mammography and that documentation is sufficient for radiologists.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Complete standardized quality reviews for sonography, mammography and ABUS exams.

Travel Responsibilities

- Requires the ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Provide on-site assessments and training for diagnostic sonography/ mammography.
- Complete on-site Mammography/ABUS training and Applications when needed to support Operations.
- Accept travel assignments to provide coverage at various OWH centers if necessary.
- Obtain additional state licenses as required.

Desired Skills And Experience

- Registered Mammography Technologist with active ARRT(M) credentials and demonstrated expertise in 3D tomosynthesis mammography.
- Advanced technical proficiency in mammography imaging, positioning, quality control, and image optimization; ability to perform exams at the highest technical and quality standards when needed.
- Certified Sonographer through ARDMS or ARRT with extensive experience in diagnostic breast sonography.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (analysis) and PowerPoint (executive-level communication).

Physical Requirements The duties described above will require frequent standing and walking, the employee will frequently bend/stoop, twist and turn.
