Job Summary:
The Structural Designer performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering skills. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Using prescribed methods, a Structural Designer performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. A Structural Designer applies standard practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results, and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Structural calculations as directed
- Plan layout and detail development as directed
- Develop working knowledge of analysis and plan production software (AutoCAD/Revit)
- Approval drawing review
- Very limited client communication as directed
- Gradual evolution to the design and drawing assembly for complete buildings of moderate scale

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent plus appropriate continuing education
- Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is preferred, but not required
- Member of professional and technical societies (associate grade or equivalent)
The salary range for this position is $70,000-$100,000 annually. The
