For our Milan Headquarter we are looking for a Junior Financial Controller to join our Group Finance Department . Reporting directly to the Global VP Finance , the successful candidate will actively contribute to the Group's monthly reporting activities, with a particular focus on Group P&L; (management account view) , ensuring data accuracy and independently performing first-level variance analysis.
The role will also be responsible for monitoring the financial and economic performance of the Group's Technology division , working closely with IT leaders and Finance & Accounting teams, both at Headquarters and across local entities.
Over time, the candidate will be progressively involved in Global Controlling and Planning activities ,
supporting the Global VP Finance throughout the forecasting and budgeting cycles .
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Reporting & KPIs: Update management dashboards and monthly Group reporting. Within the IT division, monitor existing financial KPIs and develop new ones, ensuring transparency and clear visibility for management.
Variance Analysis: Monitor actual costs and revenues against Budget and Forecast, identifying, analysing and explaining significant variances, with particular attention to areas showing anomalies or unexpected trends.
Month-End Closing Support: Work closely with the Accounting team during the month-end closing process to ensure the correct accounting treatment of IT costs, accruals, prepayments and capitalization.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the preparation of the annual budget ( OPEX and CAPEX) and subsequent periodic forecasting cycles for the Group's Technology p
