About this vacancy

The Project Engineer will coordinate the technical aspects of complex projects involving automated and integrated warehouses (stacker cranes, shuttles, conveyors, AMR/AGV, sorters, automated picking). They act as the technical reference point between the client, internal offices, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to timelines, costs, and specifications.

Main responsibilities:

- Analyze client specifications and translate them into technical solutions, layouts, and warehouse workflows
- Prepare and manage project technical documentation: functional specifications, layouts, material lists, integration diagrams
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and software engineering activities (PLC, WMS/WCS) and their integration
- Manage the technical progress of the project, monitoring milestones, budget, and risks alongside the Area Manager
- Interface with suppliers and subcontractors, verifying technical compliance
- Handle changes during execution (change requests) and update as-built documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards (Machinery Directive, CE marking, industry norms)

What we expect from you





- Degree in Management Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- 0–1 years of experience as a project engineer or order engineer in the field of industrial automation, intralogistics, or plant engineering
- Knowledge of main automated warehouse systems and logistics flows
- Ability to read and draft technical drawings and layouts (AutoCAD or similar)
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Availability for travel, both in Italy and abroad
- Knowledge of WMS/WCS and integration logic with ERP and automation systems
- Skills in simulation or analysis of logistics flows
- Knowledge of a second foreign language
- Overall vision and problem-solving-oriented approach
- Clear communication with customers and suppliers
- Autonomy, precision, and priority management

The position entails a permanent contract, and the offered base gross annual salary (RAL) will not be less than €27,000.00, in line with the provisions of the CCNL Commercio – Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi.

TMC is committed to providing a competitive compensation package, and based on the evaluation of the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications through the selection process, the final RAL may exceed the above-mentioned level.

In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a component of direct participation in project profits (profit sharing), an individual budget for skill development of €4,000 net annually, and an annual welfare credit. Further details will be provided during the selection process, in compliance with the company policies in effect.
