Bring your expertise and leadership skills and make an impact supporting our Navy clients on the PC-Based Open-Architecture for Reconfigurable Training Systems (PORTS) program. The PORTS team designs and develops simulation-based training devices/systems for the US Surface Navy to train sailors on the operation and employment of their combat, weapon, and sensor systems. You will be part of a team of professionals who work closely together to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: /p pIn this role, you will: /p ul lipOversee and manage the day-to-day operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between Program Manager, Customer, and project team /p /li lipReview status of projects and budgets; review project work products; manage schedules and prepare status reports. /p /li lipPrepare data items in accordance with DoD requirements. /p /li lipAdhere to quality objectives, technical metrics, and schedules /p /li lipAttend meetings and brief Serco management and Navy customers on project status /p /li lipAssess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives /p /li lipParticipate in proposal activities for new projects /p /li /ul pTo be successful in this role, you will have: /p ul lipBe a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance. /p /li lipHave a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied science, or management /p /li lipHave a minimum of 5 years of management experience including profit and loss /p /li lipBe familiar with software development projects /p /li lipHave solid experience using Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject) /p /li lipTravel up to 10% /p /li /ul pAdditional Desired experience and skills: /p ul lipPrevious experience managing software development projects or HW/SW delivery and installation type projects /p /li lipExperience with navy simulation and training systems /p /li lipPrior Surface Navy experience with either Aegis, SSDS or LCS combat systems /p /li lipCurrent Secret clearance /p /li lipExperience managing Government Contracts /p /li lipExperience developing small to large proposals for Development or Sustainment type programs. /p /li lipExperience presenting project performance to upper management and customers /p /li lipExperience with AS9100/ISO9001,
