PWe have an exciting opportunity to share with you! /p pPuratos Italy is looking for a bSenior RD Manager Bakery /b to join our Italian Headquarters in bParma /b. /p pWe are seeking a passionate, customer-focused, and business-oriented RD leader who is eager to drive innovation, develop high-performing teams, and create value through cutting-edge bakery solutions. /p h3bYour Mission /b /h3 pAs a member of the Italian RD Leadership Team, reporting directly to the RD Director, you will play a key role in shaping the Bakery innovation strategy, supporting business growth, and strengthening customer partnerships. /p pBy combining strong technical expertise, people leadership, and commercial awareness, you will ensure Puratos continues to be recognized as a trusted innovation partner and market leader in Bakery. /p pThis position requires significant customer and market exposure, with approximately 70% mobility for customer visits, product development activities, and market engagement. /p h3bWhat You Will Do /b /h3 ul liDevelop and execute the local Bakery RD strategy in line with business objectives and growth ambitions. /li liBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, promoting co-creation and innovation projects in collaboration with Key Account Managers. /li liLead, coach, and develop the Bakery RD team, fostering engagement, performance, and professional growth. /li liCollaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to deliver successful innovation projects. /li liIdentify emerging market trends, ingredients, technologies, and consumer needs to drive product innovation. /li liManage the Bakery innovation pipeline, ensuring effective prioritization and timely project execution. /li liDefine, monitor, and continuously improve relevant Bakery RD KPIs. /li liEnsure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and certification schemes, including BRC requirements. /li liSafeguard the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of product formulas, specifications, and technical documentation. /li liPromote the adoption of digital tools, data-driven decision-making, and innovative ways of working across RD activities. /li liLead Bakery product and technology innovation initiatives that support business growth and customer success. /li liDevelop, adapt,



and optimize products to meet customer expectations and market demands. /li liDrive formulation development, recipe optimization, and value engineering projects. /li liSupport Operations, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control teams during industrialization, scale-up, and continuous improvement activities. /li liConduct local and international benchmarking studies to identify best practices and innovation opportunities. /li liDeliver outstanding technical support to customers and commercial teams. /li liStrengthen collaboration with Global and Regional Bakery RD teams to leverage knowledge and accelerate innovation. /li liDevelop and maintain partnerships with universities, research institutions, suppliers, and external innovation networks. /li /ul h3bWhat We Expect From You /b /h3 ul liDegree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related discipline. /li liMinimum 8-10 years of experience in RD roles within the food manufacturing industry. /li liSolid knowledge of Bakery technologies, ingredients, and product development processes. /li liProven experience leading, coaching, and developing technical teams. /li liStrong business acumen with the ability to translate commercial priorities into actionable RD strategies. /li liExcellent project management and stakeholder management capabilities. /li liStrong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills. /li liAbility to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment. /li liFluent English and Italian. /li liCuriosity for digital innovation, including data, automation, and AI, with a desire to leverage technology to improve efficiency and accelerate innovation. /li /ul h3bWhat You Can Expect From Puratos /b /h3 pAt Puratos, we recognize and reward talent, leadership, and dedication. For this role, the expected base salary range is b€55,000 - €65,000 gross per year /b,
