H3Job Description /h3 pHelp Shape the Future of Heat Pump Technology /p pThe transition to low-carbon heating is transforming the HVAC industry, and heat pumps are at the centre of that change. We're looking for a Senior Project Engineer - Heat Pumps to join our team and provide technical leadership in the testing, certification, and evaluation of residential and commercial heat pump technologies. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with leading manufacturers, influence industry standards, support innovative product development, and contribute to the adoption of more sustainable energy solutions worldwide. /p pYou will be a recognised technical expert, supporting customers and colleagues across a wide range of performance, energy efficiency, and certification activities while helping to shape the future of heat pump technologies. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liManage heat pump certification and testing projects from initial customer engagement through to final certification. /li liDefine project scope, testing requirements, costs, timelines, and technical deliverables. /li liReview technical documentation, product designs, and test data to determine compliance with applicable standards. /li liProvide technical recommendations and resolve complex engineering challenges. /li /ul h3Drive Technical Excellence /h3 ul liAct as a subject matter expert for heat pump performance and energy efficiency standards. /li liInterpret and apply international and regional standards to support customers and internal stakeholders. /li liDevelop innovative test methods and evaluation approaches for emerging technologies. /li liSupport the development of new laboratory capabilities and technical procedures. /li /ul h3Influence Industry Standards /h3 ul liRepresent the organisation on international, regional, and national technical committees.
/li liCollaborate with industry associations, certification scheme owners, and accreditation bodies. /li liContribute to the evolution of performance, sustainability, and energy efficiency requirements across the HVAC sector. /li /ul h3Support Laboratory Operations /h3 ul liCoordinate and witness testing at manufacturer facilities and third-party laboratories. /li liDevelop technical guidance, training materials, and best practice documentation. /li liSupport accreditation activities, technical audits, proficiency testing, and continuous improvement initiatives. /li /ul h3Partner with Customers and Industry Leaders /h3 ul liProvide expert technical support throughout the certification process. /li liBuild strong relationships with manufacturers and industry stakeholders. /li liSupport business development by identifying market opportunities and promoting new services. /li liWork closely with engineering, laboratory, certification, and commercial teams to expand service capabilities. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline. /li liMinimum 10 years of experience in heat pump technology, HVAC performance testing, certification, product development, or standards development. /li liStrong technical knowledge of applicable standards: EN 14511, EN 14825, EN 12102, EN 16147, ISO 5151, ISO 13253,
