Lineage is the world's largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions, employing over 23.000 colleagues globally. well known for our leading market position in temperature-controlled warehousing.
To continuously expand our business and add even more value for our customers, we are hiring a business development manager with a focus on our cold store warehouse and preferable also has some knowledge about transportation.
In italy we have two warehouse locations gattatico (r.e.) and controguerra (abruzzo). Although this will be a hybrid role we prefer candidates to be in the office of gattatico at least once or twice a week.
The roleThis position combines tactical sales activities to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions for our cold stores and also a strategic focus on developing new business opportunities.
You will also work with existing lineage accounts to maintain and expand their business too. This will be a standalone role in italy and you will report into the director of business development.
What you'll be doing:
- Consultative selling with a focus on our cold store warehouses
- Developing new business and maintain and expand current accounts
- Managing inbound sales enquiries and formal tenders
- Creating tailored proposals for customer requirements
- Building long-term partnerships with both new and existing accounts
- Maintaining accurate records in the sales database (crm)
Who we're looking for:
- Strong b2b sales experience (consultative selling) with proven new business generation
- Cold store knowledge/experience is very beneficial
- Experience working to targets in a structured, professional environment
- Proven ability to build and convert a sales pipeline
- Broader (european) logistics experi
