What we need
As a Staff Quality Engineer, you will serve as a senior technical leader and subject matter expert for electrical and electronic quality across Symbotic products. You will provide quality leadership throughout the design, development, industrialization, production, and field lifecycle of complex electrical and electronic systems, including electronic control units, power distribution systems, PCBAs, electrical assemblies, and related subsystems.
In this role, you will partner closely with Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Test, Supply Chain, and Supplier Quality to identify and mitigate quality and reliability risks early in the product development lifecycle. You will provide technical guidance on electrical requirements, design risks,
failure modes, manufacturing controls, validation strategies, and supplier quality to ensure robust product performance and production readiness.
You will lead quality planning and risk management activities for new product introductions and production transfers while providing technical leadership for complex electrical quality issues affecting existing products. The Staff Quality Engineer will lead and influence APQP activities from early design and prototype development through production ramp and field performance, ensuring customer, regulatory, reliability, and internal engineering requirements are effectively addressed.
This role will also analyze field performance data, electrical subsystem failures, robot health metrics, supplier defects, and site quality trends to identify systemic improvement opportunities and drive increased product reliability.
