Overview In this role you drive back-end production improvements across regional manufacturing sites, providing technical leadership on installations, audits and maintenance optimization. You’ll standardize processes, support capital projects, and collaborate with plant leadership and global engineering teams to sustain operational excellence. You’ll work on problem-solving, equipment optimization, and knowledge sharing to reduce spoilage and improve performance. This is a chance to shape maintenance standards and contribute to Ball’s mission of sustainable packaging at scale.
Responsabilità
Provide engineering support for capital projects and process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce spoilage Assist plants with technical problem-solving and equipment optimization, implementing best operating practices Drive standardization of processes and maintenance across Decorators, Inside Sprays, Neckers, and Palletisers Keep facilities updated on latest process technologies, maintenance standards, and best practices Help plants achieve targets in operations, production, quality, and cost Prepare detailed technical reports from site visits, audits, investigations, and support activities Collaborate with equipment suppliers and OEMs on performance, maintenance strategies,
and improvements Deliver technical training to plant engineering and production personnel Identify root causes of maintenance cost overruns and implement sustainable corrective actions Manage and support small-scale engineering and plant improvement projects Coordinate with Global Engineering to establish and implement maintenance standards and best practices
Requisiti fondamentali
Vocational or technical education in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience In-depth knowledge of mechanical processes in two-piece beverage can manufacturing back end Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work independently and with international cross-functional teams Experience leading technical projects and coordinating engineering activities Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Fluency in English, additional European languages a plus Self-motivated, results-focused, and committed to continuous improvement Strong communication Stakeholder management Self-motivation Mechanical engineering knowledge of can manufacturing back end Maintenance standards and best practices Process optimization
