Overview In this role, you will lead automation and operational initiatives across Deel’s global payroll processes, building and refining AI-powered workflows with Akai. You will own cross-functional projects across 90+ countries, identify gaps, and surface insights for leadership through dashboards. You’ll troubleshoot AI workflows and drive efficiency, accuracy, and speed while maintaining strong controls and regulatory alignment. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position for someone who shapes processes from scratch and partners with engineering, product, and ops teams.

Responsabilità

Manage day-to-day operational workflows and identify efficiency improvements Support automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve accuracy and speed Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline tools and processes for internal teams and customers Ensure adherence to operational controls, compliance,



and risk management Contribute to fraud prevention and regulatory alignment through strong operational standards Monitor performance metrics and escalate risks or gaps to leadership Drive customer-focused process improvements to improve turnaround times and escalation handling Expand and improve self-service options to reduce manual support Coordinate operational readiness for new product or market launches with stakeholders Assist with go-to-market initiatives by removing bottlenecks and ensuring smooth adoption Track and report operational outcomes with insights and recommendations Execute operational projects and strategic initiatives with senior leaders

Requisiti fondamentali

5+ years of operations experience in a fast-paced environment (Tech/FinTech start-up a plus) Comfort with building and troubleshooting AI workflows, not just using AI Engineering background or equivalent technical exposure preferred Experience mentoring small to mid-sized teams Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented mindset with a solutions focus KPI-driven with track/drive performance improvements Exposure to process automation and operational tooling Background in FinTech, consulting, banking, or fast-paced startups preferred Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights (SQL familiarity a plus) Collaborative team player with high energy and bias for action collaborative team player high energy bias for action AI tools and troubleshooting automation tooling SQL familiarity (data-to-insights)
