Purpose of the position: The Offshore & Onshore Transport Buyer is a strategic role within the Procurement department, you will respond to the Shipping and Transport Procurement Manager and be part of the Supply Chain function. The position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing end-to-end logistics solutions. This includes standard land transportation (onshore)
and highly complex maritime or remote supply chain operations (offshore). How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute procurement strategies for land transport (road, rail, heavy-lift/oversized cargo) and maritime operations (chartering, Offshore Support Vessels, Anchor Handling Tug Supply Vessels etc.)
- Tender Management (RFQ): Lead complex international freight tenders, understand technical offers, and ensure total cost transparency.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate freight rates, spot/long-term Charter Parties, Incoterms, demurrage/detention terms, and fuel adjustment factors (Bunker/Fuel Surcharges).
- Strong command of international transport law, including CMR conventions, Bills of Lading, and specific offshore charter-party frameworks (e.g., BIMCO standards).
- Risk & Claim Management: Mitigate logistical risks related to weather delays, port congestion, and customs bottle
