We are seeking an experienced Production Scheduler to manage and execute production schedules within a fast-paced beverage manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for translating customer demand, forecasts, and orders into realistic production plans while coordinating closely with Operations, Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and Packaging teams.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple customers, SKUs, production priorities, and changing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain the company's master production schedule.
Convert customer orders, forecasts, and production requirements into executable production plans.
Schedule brewing, blending, packaging, and manufacturing activities.
Optimize production sequencing to improve throughput and minimize changeovers and downtime.
Coordinate with customers regarding forecasts, purchase orders, production dates, volumes, and scheduling requirements.
Monitor production capacity, labor, equipment, materials, and inventory availability.
Work closely with Procurement and Inventory teams to ensure materials are available before production.
Identify potential scheduling, material, and capacity issues and develop solutions proactively.
Coordinate new customer and product launches to ensure production readiness.
Participate in weekly production planning and S&OP; meetings.
Communicate schedule changes and priorities across Operations, Procurement, Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams.
Track production performance against the schedule and adjust plans as needed.
Maintain accurate production planning and scheduling data within ERP/MRP systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on schedule reliability, throughput, capacity utilization, and efficiency.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in production scheduling, production planning, demand planning, supply planning, or a related manufacturing role.
Manufacturing experience required; beverage, food, CPG, brewing, packaging, or contract manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Experience managing multiple SKUs, customers, production lines, and frequent changeovers.
Strong understanding of production capacity, inventory, procurement, and material requirements planning.
Experience working directly with customers regarding production schedules, forecasts, orders, and supply requirements.
Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze production, demand, inventory, and capacity data.
Experience with ERP/MRP or manufacturing planning systems .
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and make sound scheduling decisions.
