The Role
Responsibilities
- Setting out and verifying positions of piles, precast concrete elements, retaining walls, drainage systems, and electrical installations in line with design drawings and control points.
- Ensuring correct alignment, levels, and tolerances for structural and architectural elements.
- Conducting QA/QC checks including concrete cube testing, geometric leveling, and compliance with project specifications.
- Producing accurate as-built drawings and maintaining detailed daily site diaries for progress tracking.
- Performing topographical surveys,
scanning, and photogrammetry using advanced equipment and drone technology.
- Supporting data centre foundation works including pad foundations, blast walls, and generator bases.
- Collaborating with site engineers, contractors, and project teams to deliver projects on time and to specification.
- Adhering to health & safety regulations and maintaining quality control standards on site.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction principles.
- Proficiency in surveying equipment (Leica TS15, GS16, TS06, DNA03, Trimble TS S5, GNSS GPS R12).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Competence in AutoCAD, Topolt, and technical documentation (site diaries, as-built drawings, property boundaries).
