pSheraton Milan San Siro is hiring through Hosco in Milan. /ph3JOB SUMMARY /h3pSupports the Chief Engineer as the primary operational point of contact for the Engineering department, providing day-to-day leadership, guidance, and supervision to the Engineering team. Oversees engineering and maintenance operations, including the maintenance of the building, grounds, and physical plant, with particular attention to safety, security, and asset protection. Assists in managing departmental budgets, capital expenditure projects, preventive maintenance programs, and energy conservation initiatives. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and company standards. Coordinates and monitors the activities of Engineers and external contractors, driving performance, accountability, and service excellence across the department. Plays a key role in leading the emergency response team and managing facility-related issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution. /ph3CANDIDATE PROFILE /h3pEducation and Experience /pulliHigh school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing. /liliOR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 1 year experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing. /li /ulh3CORE WORK ACTIVITIES /h3pManaging Engineering Operations and Budgets /pulliManages the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems. /liliEnsures regulatory compliance to facility regulations and safety standards. /liliManages and controls heat, light and power and recommends current best methods for energy conservation and economical facility operations. /liliDevelops specifications and requirements for service contracts and administers such contracts to support building needs.



/liliDistributes preventive maintenance and repair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality of completion. /liliOversees and directs the maintenance of grounds, guestrooms, public space, restaurants, property vehicles and recreational facilities. /liliDevelops a long term plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection and overseeing execution of plan. /liliDevelops project plans in accordance with renovation or new construction needs. /liliContacts contractors for bids and supervising construction to ensure timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines. /liliBuilds positive relationships with external customers such as city building/zoning department, fire prevention bureau and vendors. /liliEnsures fire crew has complete understanding of all procedures, equipment and alarms. /liliPerforms monthly property inspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained in excellent condition. /liliConducts guest room and common area inspection to ensure guest satisfaction. /liliInspects and evaluates the physical condition of facilities in order to determine the type of work required. /liliRecommends or arranges for additional services such as painting, repair work, renovations, and the replacement of furnishings and equipment. /liliSelects and orders or purchasing new equipment, supplies, and furnishings. /liliManages parts and equipment inventory. /li /ulh3Maintaining Property Standards /h3ulliEnsures building and equipment licenses and certifications are current. /liliMaintains property life safety systems (fire fighting equipment,
