Experience / Qualifications
- Licensed in the State of Florida as APRN
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in overseeing genetics program
- Demonstrates high quality case management abilities and clinical competency
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Experience with Survivorship Programs
Position SummaryThe Genetics Nurse Practitioner demonstrates mastery of the specific knowledge and skills required for counseling cancer patients in the area of genetics. This individual is responsible for managing the genetics program, complex patient care and ensuring the delivery of genetic counseling and expertise to patients. The Genetics Nurse Practitioner functions autonomously. Collaboration with other practitioners, consultants, researchers, and leaders is essential.
