Energy Business Development Specialist

In this role you will support the Business Development and Regulatory Affairs Unit to identify and develop new opportunities in evolving energy markets and regulatory environments. You will translate market and regulatory insights into concrete business ideas, supporting product and service innovation. You’ll bridge Commercial, Operations, Product Management, and external stakeholders to drive growth. The position offers exposure to energy flexibility, storage, and other emerging technologies in a fast-growing, collaborative setting.
Monitor energy market developments, technologies, and regulatory changes
Identify and assess new business opportunities from market and regulatory shifts
Support development of innovative products, services, and commercial offerings
Contribute to business cases, market assessments, and investment analyses
Engage with customers, partners, and institutions; build strategic partnerships
Coordinate with Commercial, Operations, Product Management, and Regulatory Affairs
Participate in meetings, workshops, and industry groups




Support growth initiatives related to energy flexibility, BESS, electrification, DR, and distributed energy resources
Prepare presentations, reports, and strategic analyses to support growth
May coordinate and manage projects and people depending on experience
3-5 years’ experience in the energy sector
Strong interest in business development, energy markets, and innovative energy solutions
Ability to assess business implications of new regulations and market developments
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Comfort interacting with customers, partners, and external stakeholders
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn across topics and sectors
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience in preparing business cases, market analyses, or strategic evaluations is a plus
Entrepreneurial mindset in evolving, fast-growth environments
