The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.ResponsibilitiesThe Plant Chemist is accountable for ensuring and improving product quality and production efficiency under supervision and throughMonitors all new production and communicates potential problems to Operations and Control Lab.Ensures manufacturability through lab batches and following production batches as needed.Identifies process and formula changes needed for successful manufacturing of existing formulas.Identifies process and quality problems to determine systematic root cause and follows through with corrective action.Coordinates test batches with production and scheduling.Maintains local formulas in formulation system.Drive improvements around primary metric OTMIS, distressed, and recall goals.Lead and or participate in quality investigations to determine root cause.Develop standard operating procedures and provide training to QC personnel to ensure procedures are followed.Manages new formula introduction and plant manufacturability acceptanceManage in raw material acceptance/rejection based on raw material specificationEnsure timely resolution of distressed batches and rework /returned goods.QualificationsMinimum Requirements5 + years experience in Operations, Quality,
or TechnicalFlexible work scheduleStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications5+ years experienceSix Sigma Green Belt or Black BeltPresentations skillsResults orientedDemonstrated problem solving, project management, Change Management, Conflict Management, and coaching skillsISO knowledgeProgram knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, Minitab, and Business ObjectsKnowledge of Root Cause investigation and analysis toolsSystem knowledge of Watson, MES, Product Vision, Discovery, and MES.About UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
