This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing.

This Position reports to: Senior Project EngineerYour role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner.
You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. This role is contributing to the ABB Robotics Division in Italy.
The work model for the role is: You will be mainly accountable for: Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.

Qualifications for the roleYou are highly skilled working with relevant tools and methodologies, Robotics Automation and AI marketDegree in Engineering (Mechanics, Electrical or related field) and Master in Robotics as a preferred experienceYou have5 years of experience in Automation systems. You are someone with leadership skills, able to work autonomously in diverse projects, stakeholder management, organization and planning.
