We are seeking a Key Account Professional to join our team in Castel Maggiore (BO).
MISSION
The Key Account Professional will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of strategic key accounts, leading complex commercial negotiations, and driving business development into new target sectors such as Medical Devices, Railway, and Industrial Automation. This role requires a seasoned sales professional capable of operating autonomously at senior customer levels and contributing to the company's broader commercial strategy.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Own and grow strategic customer relationships, acting as the senior commercial reference point for top accounts
- Lead price negotiations, contract renewals, and complex commercial agreements, including price increase negotiations tied to cost indices (raw materials, energy, labor)
- Define and execute account strategies and growth plans aligned with company targets
- Drive new business development in target diversification sectors (Medical, Railway, Industrial Automation, Energy/Renewables)
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects, from lead generation through contract signature
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to structure competitive and profitable offers
- Provide market intelligence and competitive analysis to support strategic planning
- Contribute to the company's multi-year sales strategy and budget/forecast process
- Mentor junior sales team members
- Represent Selcom at senior customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows
REQUIREMENTS
- English language proficiency
- Solid experience in a similar role, with 8–10 years of relevant experience
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time across Europe
- Strong business development and key account management skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering, or a similar technical discipline
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
The annual compensation range for this position is € 60,000 - € 70,000, with additional benefits.
This compensation range has been determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including the scope of the role, required skills, relevant professional experience, qualifications, and level of responsibility.
