Role Description The Information Technology Support Engineer is a tempo parziale, on-site role based in Pisa. This role involves providing technical and help desk support for end users, resolving hardware and software issues, and responding to service requests in a timely manner. The engineer will troubleshoot system and network problems, perform basic system administration tasks, and assist with server configuration and maintenance under guidance.
Responsibilities also include monitoring system performance, documenting support activities, escalating complex issues when needed, and collaborating with other IT staff to maintain a stable and secure IT environment.
Qualifications
- Strong Technical Support and Help Desk Support skills for resolving user issues and managing service requests.
- Solid foundation in Information Technology concepts and practices, including common operating systems and business applications.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic network connectivity problems.
- Experience or exposure to System Administration tasks such as user account management, updates, and basic server maintenance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to support users with varying technical backgrounds.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, follow documented procedures, and maintain accurate records of support activities.
- Relevant IT certifications or coursework (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or similar) are beneficial.
- Prior experience in a service-oriented or managed services environment is an advantage.
