We’re Hiring a Sales Manager – Logistics & Freight Forwarding
Are you an experienced sales professional looking to take the next step in your logistics and freight forwarding career? Atlantic Gate is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead business development efforts, strengthen customer relationships, and drive sustainable growth across the Italian market.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international logistics organization and play a key role in expanding our market presence while contributing to our long-term commercial strategy.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute the sales strategy in line with company objectives
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across sea, air, road, and multimodal freight services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
- Lead customer meetings, presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions
- Manage and grow an active sales pipeline while ensuring sales targets are achieved
- Prepare and oversee freight quotations in collaboration with Operations and Procurement teams
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitive activities, and freight rate developments
- Ensure accurate CRM reporting, forecasting, and sales activity tracking
- Represent Atlantic Gate at industry events, trade fairs, and networking opportunities
- Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure service excellence and customer satisfaction
What You Bring
- 5+ years of sales experience within logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain services
- Strong knowledge of sea freight, air freight, road transport, and international trade
- Proven track record of generating new business and achieving commercial targets
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an international organization
