For an Italian industrial company operating worldwide, specialized in the design and manufacturing of high-performance engines and propulsion systems for the highway, off-road and marine business sectors, we are looking for a BUSINESS DEVELOPER
Posizione
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with existing customers and partners, and contributing to the company's growth strategy in international markets with a specific focus on the Industrial, Off-Highway, Marine, and Special Applications sectors. The role will involve close collaboration with internal technical and commercial functions to develop tailored solutions and support the expansion of the business.
Main tasks:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in target markets and customer segments;
- Manage and develop relationships with existing and prospective customers, partners, and key stakeholders;
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities;
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives;
- Lead commercial discussions and support the negotiation of contracts and commercial agreements;
- Coordinate with Engineering, R&D;, Product Management, Operations, Purchasing, and other relevant functions to develop customer-specific solutions;
- Prepare business cases, commercial proposals, presentations, and management reports;
- Monitor sales pipeline, business opportunities, and commercial performance,
ensuring appropriate follow-up actions;
- Support the identification of new applications, markets, and strategic partnerships for the company's products and technologies;
- Participate in industry events, trade fairs, and customer meetings to strengthen the company's market presence and identify new opportunities;
- Contribute to the definition of pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategies for new products and applications;
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between customers and internal stakeholders throughout the business development process.
Requisiti:
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
- Previous experience in Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management, or Commercial roles , preferably within the automotive, industrial, powertrain, or mobility sectors;
- Proven experience in developing new business opportunities and managing complex B2B sales processes;
- Strong understanding of automotive and/or industrial markets and related customer dynamics;
- Ability to interact effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders;
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills;
- Strong analytical and business-oriented approach, with the ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into actionable business plans;
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus;
- Availability to travel internationally;
- Strong interpersonal skills, autonomy, and results orientation.
