The laboratory features Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, Auger Electron Spectroscopy, Low-Energy Electron Diffraction and (Organic) Molecular Beam Epitaxy in a UHV environment.
Furthermore, a magneto-optical system (to study both linear and non linear effects) is available.The Main Scientific Activity Of The Lab Includes Investigatingspinterfaces between organic (molecular layers and chiral molecules) and inorganic (both ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic) materials; single rareearth atoms embedded in ultrathin oxide matrices; 2D magneticmaterials grown in situ.
