# JOB DESCRIPTION Isotta Fraschini Motori, part of the Fincantieri Group, is an Italian excellence in the design of generation and propulsion systems for advanced marine and industrial applications. We are looking for a resource with experience in backend and frontend software development and in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions applied to data analysis in the industrial sector, to contribute to the design, development, and evolution of IFM digital platforms, transforming data from industrial assets into intelligent services and advanced operational support tools. The role operates transversally across software development, data engineering, cloud architecture, and artificial intelligence, contributing to the creation of scalable, secure, and product-oriented applications. The figure participates in the entire life cycle of digital solutions, from requirements gathering to deployment and operational support.
# ACTIVITIES Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications and software services for asset monitoring, control, and management platforms, creating modern and responsive frontend interfaces, robust APIs, and scalable backend components integrated with cloud, edge, and third-party applications, as well as PC-based applications for operator interfaces (HMI) on machines and in control rooms; develop data pipelines and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models for the analysis and valorization of data from industrial and IoT systems, with predictive diagnostics,
anomaly detection, and decision support functionalities within corporate digital platforms and Digital Twin and Asset Performance Management systems; contribute to the design of scalable, resilient, and secure edge-to-cloud digital architectures, oriented towards remote monitoring and intelligent management of energy assets, in compliance with high quality standards (best practices, testing, code review).
# REQUIREMENTS ## Software Development * Consolidated experience in frontend and backend development of web applications. * Excellent knowledge of modern web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular or Vue for frontend; Node.js, Java or Python for backend). * Proven experience in designing and developing REST APIs and microservices architectures. * Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and related collaborative workflows.
## Data Engineering & AI/ML * Knowledge of Python for developing applications, data pipelines, and algorithms. * Proven experience with Machine Learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) applied to industrial data analysis. * Ability to manage and process structured and unstructured data from industrial assets and sensors. * Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. * Experience with data analytics and data visualization tools to support operational decisions.
## Cloud & Industrial Integration Experience or interest in: * cloud architectures; * containerization (Docker, Kubernetes); * IoT systems and edge computing; * industrial protocols * remote monitoring and telemetry platforms.
## Cybersecurity & Quality * Knowledge of main secure development practices. * Attitude towards creating reliable, maintainable, and scalable software. * Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies.
## Soft skills * Strong problem-solving orientation. * Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. * Structured and results-oriented approach. * Excellent technical communication skills.
## Education * Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Energy, or similar)
## Languages * Good knowledge of English (use in technical and professional contexts)
