Duties and Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services that support LodgeLink's platform and business objectives. Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable solutions. Lead the technical design and implementation of complex features, services, and systems while balancing scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability. Drive architectural improvements and participate actively in engineering decision-making, providing recommendations and technical guidance to the team. Apply software engineering best practices, including code reviews, automated testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to the development and evolution of cloud-native solutions and distributed systems. Work within Agile development practices, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement activities. Identify and help address technical debt while balancing short-term delivery and long-term platform health.
Support the deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of applications in production environments. Proactively identify opportunities to improve system performance, developer productivity, platform reliability, and engineering processes. Mentor and support junior engineers through knowledge sharing, technical coaching, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving. Take ownership of projects from technical design through production deployment and operational support. Contribute to improving engineering processes, tooling, and development standards. Share knowledge, learn from teammates, and actively contribute to a collaborative engineering culture. Qualifications 5+ years of software development experience building and supporting software applications in a professional environment.
