Quantity Surveyor

Milan, Italy | 40–50MW | Data Centre Project

MLQS is working with an established project and cost management consultancy to appoint a Quantity Surveyor for a major new data centre development in Milan.

Working on behalf of a leading global colocation data centre developer, you will join the project team delivering a 40–50MW development, with involvement across both pre- and post-contract stages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with data centre experience to take on a client-facing role on a significant European development.

The Role

You will provide commercial and cost management support throughout the project lifecycle, including:

- Pre-contract cost planning and estimating.
- Procurement and tender management.
- Tender analysis and contractor evaluation.
- Commercial and cost reporting.
- Budget management and forecasting.
- Change control and variation management.
- Valuations and payment assessments.
- Contract administration.
- Supporting commercial negotiations.
- Post-contract cost management through project delivery.
- Final account support.

You will work closely with the developer, design team, contractors and wider project stakeholders throughout the project.

About You

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

- Quantity Surveying / Cost Management experience within a consultancy environment.
- Previous data centre project experience.
- Experience across both pre- and post-contract stages.




- Strong cost planning, procurement and commercial management experience.
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
- Existing right to work in Italy.

The Opportunity

You will be joining an established consultancy working with a leading global colocation developer on a major new data centre project in Milan.

The role offers exposure across the full commercial lifecycle of the project, from pre-construction and procurement through to delivery and final account.
