Primary Responsibilities

- Organize and coordinate environmental monitoring and citizen science initiatives in collaboration with Source International staff.
- Train local communities in conducting citizen science projects focused on monitoring water, air, and dust quality.
- Engage with donors and project supporters to ensure effective communication and reporting.
- Develop project proposals and oversee project management throughout the entire lifecycle.

- Comprehensive project reports.
- Trained local communities equipped with citizen science skills.
- Community-based environmental monitoring results.
- Successfully developed project proposals.

- All research and studies conducted by the candidate will be the property of Source International and published under a Creative Commons license.
- The candidate agrees to transfer all intellectual outputs to Source International and cannot withhold the publication of any research or project-related document.

Education





- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Natural or Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or related fields.

Language Skills

- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Italian (additional languages are an asset).

Work Experience

- Proven experience in field investigations related to environmental monitoring, with a focus on water and dust monitoring.
- Demonstrated experience in training, particularly with rural and marginalized communities, as well as youth and children.
- Strong ability to draft scientific reports.
- Experience in project management and writing project proposals.

- Capacity to adapt to extreme conditions and operate in remote or challenging environments.
- Ability to navigate high-conflict situations with diplomacy and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks autonomously.
