Job Summary
The Editor of the Day (EOD) – Bureau Chief combines leading the daily editorial output of the language service with managing the bureau in Rome.
As Editor of the Day, he/she oversees the daily production and broadcasting of news on digital platforms and on TV, with a digital-first approach. He/she leads the daily team of journalists, assigns and approves stories before publication, and supervises live broadcasts, breaking news, push notifications and special events. He/she prepares and priorities rundowns and bulletins, handles Front Page Editing, SEO optimisation and live blogs,



and is responsible for the quality and accuracy of all content published across Euronews channels.
As Bureau Chief, he/she manages the bureau’s staff and planning, and acts as the local relay with the central HR department, overseeing recruitment, training, performance evaluation and day-to-day HR and management matters. He/she coordinates workflow and assignments with other departments and bureaus, represents Euronews with external stakeholders such as officials, organisations and other media, ensures compliance with the editorial line and ethical standards, and leads the bureau’s response in times of crisis. xysqume
The EOD – Bureau Chief reports hierarchically to the Head of News of the European Central Newsroom.
