Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Capture system requirements and translate them into test rig design definition
- Execute the design, analysis, and evaluation of Mechanical Test Enabling Hardware that meets business standards, practices and procedures as well as the product/program requirements, in line with decisions concurred at Systems level
- Create and develop new mechanical design concepts with the use of CAD tools
- Follow recommended approach to meet the technical and program requirements
- Develop in-depth knowledge of technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
- Contribute to formulating and executing plans to achieve technical requirements, schedules and contract commitments
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews
- Proactively support and coordinate activities with manufacturing departments and Suppliers in order to guarantee on time and on quality hardware procurement
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering
- Previous proven experience in design of complex mechanical systems
- Good knowledge of fundamental mechanical design concepts, mechanics of materials, design hand calculations
- Good knowledge of Advanced CAD Systems (preferable NX & Teamcenter)
- Good knowledge of complex 2D and 3D shapes modelling CAD techniques
- Basic knowledge of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
- Basic knowledge of Stress Analysis, Structure Dynamics simulation techniques and Rotor-Dynamics Fundamentals
- Strong technical attitude and problem-solving skills
