Overview In this role you lead Deel’s payroll operations for Italy, acting as the founding product leader for a greenfield market. You’ll own end-to-end strategy with cross-functional teams to design payroll, HR, and time-tracking solutions tailored to Italy’s regulatory landscape. You’ll balance ambitious market timelines with prudent prioritization while leveraging AI to accelerate delivery. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape Deel’s Mediterranean expansion and drive cross-country product alignment. and Services teams * Break complex requirements into iterative increments and ship fast * Own relationships with key accounts and validate solutions with customers * Collaborate with sales, implementation, and local compliance teams to enable scalable solutions * Think entrepreneurially to build a market entry playbook from scratch * Leverage AI to accelerate build and ensure regulatory compliance in collaboration with local teams * Master Italian labor law (CCNL, INPS, regional variations) to ensure compliant solutions * Position Italy as the anchor market for Deel’s Southern Europe expansion Requisiti fondamentali * Based in EMEA with proximity to the Italian market * Fluent in Italian and English for coordination * Comfort with ambiguity and making decisions with incomplete information * Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams and external partners * Pragmatism and systems thinking to connect payroll, HR, time tracking and compliance * stakeholder management * ambition and entrepreneurial mindset * communication and collabo
